Processing

The horizontal and vertical joints should be between 10 and 14 mm. Please check ‘colours & sizes’ for the required bond.

Application tips:
  • Measure, from the right and left side of the wall, the first 12 mm. dowm from the ceiling.
  • Mark these points, these point mark the first joint.
  • Connect both points, left and right, with a cord. Check if these points are levelled.
  • Than you measure from these points every 31 cm. down ( 50 mm. brickslip size + 12 mm. joint = 5 layers )
  • We advise you to reguarely check if the layers are still levelled, for example every 3-4 layers with the cord.

Important:
  • The horizontal joints and the vertical joints must be 10-12 mm. wide. Smaller joints will need more bricks per m².
  • Always start on the top-side of the wall.
  • Be sure that the rows are levelled.
  • Please do always take the brick slips at random from different cartons to get a uniform finished appearance of the colors.
  • Embed the brick slips firmly into the adhesive. Ensure that they are offset and no moisture can get behind the already applied brick slips.
  • Please be sure if the surface can be used to apply the thin brick slips, make a test first.
  • Never use thin brick slips in open fire-places.
  • Always keep min. 15 cm. space between the brick slips and any heating facilities.
  • Small differences in colour and structure are to be expected by later buys, because of the use of natural material (special sands).
  • After application the surface has to be protected against rain for 5-7 days minimum.
  • Never apply the thin brick slips at temperatures below +5 °C.
  • The customer always has to check if the surface is correct on which the brick slips are to be applied on.

1. Apply max. 1 m² of the special adhesive with an trowel (4 mm.) on the dry and solid surface.

2.   Embed the brick slips fully into the adhesive. The joints should be 10-12 mm. wide.

3. The flexible slips can easily be cut using scissors or a sharp knife.

4. The flexible brick slip can be applied around rounded corners and curved surfaces.

5. Smooth the joints with a damp paintbrush. Be sure that the brick slips are fully embedded on all sides.
